Thanks to all for a hugely successful Summer Melee day on Sunday 8 September. 100 attendees joined the Bedouins for the last beautiful Indian Summer Day of the season to remember Tim McLaughlin and raise funds for Marsden Cancer Research! There were 17 teams mashed together from pure beginners to SCPA Champions and a great time was had by all. The burgers & brats were fabulous (special thanks to Andrew Climatis and his crew for their hard work!), the Pointing & Shooting competitions competitive (won by Simon Laws & Frank Charlesworth respectively) and the bar busy all day. There is a lot of planning and execution involved for a successful Melee like this and it is all worth it to be reminded what a fun and social sport our game can be! See you next summer!
